WHAT:

The Veterans Humanities Initiative is hosting “Military Service/Literary Solace,” a public reading and conversation with four prominent veteran writers who use their life experiences to inform their literary work. Speaking from a variety of military backgrounds and from differing literary modes and genres, these writers express a diversity of voices within the veteran writer community.

The Veterans Humanities Initiative is a multi-part series of engagements through the University of Missouri Center for the Humanities that seeks to understand and process the veteran experience through creative writing, scholarship, and storytelling. Offered in collaboration with Missouri Humanities, many of the engagements are free and open to the public.

The Veterans Humanities Initiative is sponsored by Veterans United Home Loans.
