MU Student Health Center to host ribbon-cutting for move to Pershing Hall

WHAT:

The University of Missouri’s Student Health Center is moving to Pershing Hall, a more centralized location on campus, to increase accessibility. To celebrate, MU is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by an open house with guided tours of the new facility. MU students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to attend. Free food and giveaways will be provided.

WHO:

Speakers include:

  • Angela King Taylor, interim vice chancellor of student affairs
  • Jamie Shutter, executive director of student health and well-being
  • Jim Parker, director of the student health center

Additional appearances include:

  • Richard J. Barohn, executive vice chancellor for health affairs at MU, dean of the MU School of Medicine and executive director of NextGen Precision Health
  • Mun Choi, president of the University of Missouri
  • Rhonda Gibler, chief business officer of MU
  • Miyah Jones, president of Missouri Students Association
  • Parker Owens, president of MU’s Graduate Professional Council
