Dain Jacob receives American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship

Dain Jacob, a doctoral student in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology recently received the American Heart Associate Predoctoral Fellowship. The fellowship helps enhance the integrated research and clinical training and fund opportunities for Jacob to travel and learn techniques from collaborators and experts.

Jacob’s research focuses on how the nervous system regulates blood pressure differently between men and woman when exposed to low oxygen. He works in the Limberg Lab studying cardiovascular disease and is passionate about biomedical research. Jacob said his career goal is to help others and he hopes to continue contributing to scientific literature that will directly improve peoples' quality of life “Receiving this award is very exciting and validates a lot of hard work.”
