This month, the University of Missouri is celebrating the accomplishments of 1,755 students at winter commencement ceremonies.

“I am so proud of what our graduates have accomplished,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said. “Our students are well prepared to contribute to their communities and to society, with more than 95% of new Mizzou alumni starting their careers, continuing their education, joining the military or filling critical service roles after graduation. We look forward to celebrating the successes of our graduates.”

Of the 1,875 degrees Mizzou will award during commencement weekend, 1,371 will be bachelor’s degrees, 375 will be master’s degrees and 96 will be doctoral degrees. Thirty-three education specialist degrees will also be awarded. Some students are receiving more than one degree.

"Earning a degree is a remarkable achievement and a moment of pride for our graduates, their families, and the entire Mizzou community," said Robin Wenneker, chair of the University of Missouri Board of Curators and a proud alumna. "The Board congratulates the Class of 2024, who have excelled while embracing Mizzou’s rich traditions, and we look forward to welcoming them into the alumni family.”

In all, students from the graduating class hail from 42 states and 20 countries. There are also 443 online students graduating.

“Our graduates are leaving Mizzou with both relevant knowledge and unique experiences and opportunities that will help them succeed in whatever they choose to do,” Matthew Martens, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs, said. “With their strong educational foundation from Mizzou, we know that they will go out and make the world a better place.”
