As recipients of the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program, 13 Tigers will travel overseas in 2023–24. The scholarship enables students with financial barriers to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to U.S. security and economic prosperity.
Among the 13, two MU students qualified for Critical Need Language Awards, a supplemental award for students studying a critical need language while abroad in a country or location in which the language is predominantly spoken.
