MU Provost Latha Ramchand has appointed Craig Benson as the director of the MU Career Center, effective March 13, 2023. “Following a national search, Benson demonstrated the leadership and vision necessary to guide career services into the future as well as a passion for student success and employer partnerships that will enhance the student experience and outcomes at MU,” said Senior Vice Provost Matt Martens.
Benson has served as the interim director since June 5, 2022. During that time the Career Center has reported a 95.4% career outcomes rate, 64% of MU graduates work in Missouri, and 837 Missouri employers hire Mizzou grads. Martens said, “These results demonstrate both student success and a commitment to Mizzou’s economic impact in the state of Missouri.”
Benson has a long history in career services at Mizzou. “I’m excited to continue working with the talented staff in the Career Center and in career services offices across campus to prepare students as best we can for opportunities after college,” Benson said.
