Canadian poet and novelist Margaret Atwood once said, “A word after a word after a word is power.” This power was showcased during a Faculty Excellence Week event highlighting 33 MU faculty authors Thursday evening in the Ellis Library.
“For many disciplines publishing a book is a significant hallmark for faculty members,” said Candace Kuby, associate provost for faculty success. “Books take many years to complete, especially when they involve research which could take several years before the actual writing of the book. It is important that we celebrate our amazing faculty members and the books being written to disseminate research to the broader community.”
The Ellis Library has copies of each book for interested parties to check out and read.
