Three University of Missouri alumnae and one employee recently received the Woman of the Year award from the Greater Missouri Leadership Foundation. The award recognizes prominent leaders in Missouri who demonstrate leadership, civic contributions and an ability to inspire and support others. This year’s recipients are:
- Community Leader: Sabrina McDonnell, MBA ’15, executive vice president/chief customer experience officer for Simmons Bank.
- Inspirational Leader: Kristin Sohl, professor of clinical child health at the University of Missouri; executive director of ECHO Autism; and board president of the Missouri chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Civic Leader: Jan Beckett, BSN ’70, Boone Hospital Board of Trustees member and secretary of the Boone Hospital Board.
- Alumna Leader:Valerie Nicholson-Watson, BJ ’87, CEO of Harvesters-The Community Food Network.
