Loukas Grafakos, Mahala and Rose Houchins Distinguished Professor of Mathematics in the University of Missouri College of Arts and Science, was recently named a fellow in mathematics from the Simons Foundation.

The organization aims to advance the frontiers of research in mathematics and the basic sciences and offers support for sabbatical research.
