Arthur G. Suits, Curators’ Distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry, recently received the Earle K. Plyler Prize for Molecular Spectroscopy and Dynamics.
This award recognizes his notable contributions to the field of molecular spectroscopy and dynamics, and it will be presented at a conference in spring 2022.
Suits pioneered the use of slice velocity map imaging to study crossed molecular beam scattering, photofragment orbital polarization and state-correlated photodissociation which led to the discovery of roaming reactions.
