School of Natural Resources students funded through National Institute of Food and Agriculture program

Three School of Natural Resources (SNR) students recently received funding through a premier PhD program in forest resources, supported by SNR and the NIFA Food and Agricultural Sciences National Needs Graduate Fellowships Grants Program. They are:

  • Andria Caruthers
  • Angel Colon-Santiago
  • Kendra Esparza-Harris

The goal of the fellowship is to prepare students for a wide range of careers, inclusive of academic institutions, consulting firms, industry and state and federal agencies through coursework, research, internships and personalized mentorship. To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must be a U.S. citizen and a member of a racial/ethnic group underrepresented in forest resources.
