UM System President and MU Chancellor Mun Choi recently received the African Leadership Award from the MU African Graduate and Professional Student Association (AGPSA).
The award is reserved for individuals who contribute to the social and professional development of African students at Mizzou. Choi was recognized for supporting Africa Fest 2020 and for mobilizing resources to keep international students safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We feel very proud by how much President Choi has supported us on our journey to gain knowledge and skills that we will use to change the world and play leadership roles in Africa's business, science and governance,” said Osasu Osaze, a doctoral student and president of AGPSA.
