Spring 2024 Brand Wagon award recipients announced

June 25, 2024

The University of Missouri Division of Marketing and Communication recently announced the spring 2024 Brand Wagon award winners. The awards honor Mizzou employees whose work upholds and uplifts the university’s brand.

“Our Brand Wagon winners are amazing brand ambassadors,” said Brand Manager Jessi Church. “They enrich the brand with the work they do and make an impact with their audiences. The submissions for the Spring 2024 Brand Wagon were fantastic and showed the greatest variety of nominations yet—from design to copywriting to environmental branding. It’s important for us to recognize the work done across campus and continue to inspire others to get creative when working with the Mizzou brand.”

This semesters’ recipients are:

Brand Wagon Champion

The Brand Wagon Champion award went to Steve Adams, Emily Kebert and Cathy Rose, the communications team from the College of Education and Human Development. The team was recognized for upholding and elevating Mizzou’s brand standards through creative social media posts and unique promotional items.

Brand Maven

For their dedication to being brand ambassadors and cultivating community on campus, LaToya Stevens and Morgan King, communicators for the Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, were celebrated with the Brand Maven award.

Smooth Brand Jammin'

Winning the Smooth Brand Jammin’ award for his creative and consistent application of brand materials when highlighting the accomplishments of Mizzou’s students, faculty and staff is Logan Jackson, a communicator at the Honors College.

Brand Wagon Amped Up

Combining brand excellence, creativity and collaboration, geology professor Jim Schiffbauer led the creation of a geological timeline mural that bridges the gap between marketing messages, physical branding and decoration. For this effort, he was presented the Brand Wagon Amped Up award.

Brand Wagon Signature Style award

For his customized sidewalk clings designed for the MU Counseling Center, Macaulay Keevins won the Brand Wagon Signature Style award. Each original illustration was made especially for the different locations where the clings appear, combining depth with visual storytelling.

“Celebrating the creativity of our campus community is what makes Brand Wagon so exciting and, hopefully, helps others see how their work is part of what makes the Mizzou brand shine,” Church said.
