Staying or working on campus over the Thanksgiving holiday? Dinner is in the bag — or, rather, in the box, thanks to the University of Missouri’s Campus Dining Services.

Thanksgiving dinners will be available for pickup the day before Thanksgiving, offering a convenient way for Tigers to enjoy a holiday feast wherever they celebrate.

Each boxed meal includes a choice of herb-roasted turkey or vegetarian stuffed acorn squash along with all of the traditional favorites: mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dressing, cranberry sauce, a dinner roll and cherry crumble for dessert. Everything is made in-house, with the exception of the rolls.

The Thanksgiving to-go program debuted last year and quickly proved popular, said Derrick Cripps, director of Mizzou Food Services.

“Thanksgiving is about bringing people together, and we’re happy to help make the holiday special for our Mizzou community,” Cripps said. “We look forward to serving our Tigers again this year.”

How to get your Thanksgiving feast

Ordering begins Tuesday, Nov. 10, with meals available on a first-come, first-served basis. Each box cost $13.50 or one tap. Sign up using this form before noon on Thursday, Nov. 19.

Meals will be refrigerated and come with reheating instructions.

Pickup is available from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Baja Grill in the Mizzou Student Center.

More ways to celebrate

Can’t wait until Thanksgiving to dig in? Campus Dining Services is also hosting campuswide Thanksgiving dinners beginning at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Plaza 900 and The MARK on 5th Street.

Students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend. The menu includes turkey, ham, stuffed acorn squash, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread dressing, sweet potato wedges, sautéed green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, pumpkin pie and caramel apple cheesecake.

Meal plans will be accepted, and guests may also pay at the door.
