Mizzou Botanic Garden on the University of Missouri’s campus has been awarded a Level II Accreditation by The ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and The Morton Arboretum.  The accreditation program is the only global initiative to officially recognize arboreta at various levels of development, capacity and professionalism.

Mizzou also recently earned the designation as a Tree Campus by the Arbor Day Foundation.

“Mizzou has an impressive tree canopy and even more potential with our dedicated hard-working team that oversees and cares for the campus,” Landscape Services and Mizzou Botanic Garden Director Joe Kovolyan said. “We are proud of this professional and rare accomplishment to be recognized as both an Arboretum and Botanical Garden.”
