Armed with curiosity, grit and whole lot of hands-on experience, the University of Missouri Class of 2025 is ready to take on the world.

From Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18, 5,954 graduates will receive degrees during a series of commencement ceremonies celebrating the achievements and potential of the latest Mizzou-made graduates. That includes students who will receive their degrees this summer.

These Tigers are leaving with more than just a diploma. Thanks to the Missouri Method — Mizzou’s signature approach of learning by doing — they’re equipped with the tools they’ll need to thrive in the workforce.

And the numbers back it up. Mizzou’s annual career outcomes survey shows that more than 95% of Mizzou graduates find success after graduation, one of the highest rates in the country.

“We are proud to celebrate the excellence of our 2025 graduates,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said. “Mizzou empowers students to become independent thinkers to achieve career success. I can’t wait to see what they accomplish.”

Of the 6,428 degrees Mizzou will award this weekend, 4,638 will be bachelor’s degrees, 1,101 will be master’s and education specialists’ degrees and 689 will be doctoral and professional degrees. Some students will receive more than one degree.

As the graduates prepare for what’s next, they will join the ranks of more than 362,000 alumni worldwide.

What to know about 2025 spring commencement

Graduates should arrive no later than 30 minutes ahead of their ceremony. Academic units will provide graduates with specifics about where and when to check in.

Exterior doors of commencement venues will open one hour ahead of each ceremony, other than Jesse Auditorium, which will open 30 minutes prior. Tickets are not required for commencement ceremonies, and you may bring as many family members and friends as you’d like.

Photography

GradImages will be the official graduation ceremony photographers. Graduates can receive a 20% discount on their entire order when they register before graduation day. GradImages photographers will take additional candid photographs after the ceremony. Representatives will be dressed in red vests, so they should be easy to find and are available to capture graduates and their friends and families. Photographs can be ordered online or by calling 1-800-261-2576.

Livestream

Know someone who can’t make it to a ceremony in person? Encourage them to watch online. Every ceremony will be livestreamed and recorded. The commencement website will post links to livestreams closer to the events.
