University of Missouri President Mun Choi and the campus community recently gathered for a ceremony to remember the lives of Mizzou's students, faculty and staff who died between March 2024 and March 2025. Additionally, an undergraduate student who died in 2000 was recognized.
“We honor the memories of our late Mizzou community members and offer support to their family, friends and colleagues,” President Choi said. “This event recognizes the impact of those we lost and commemorates their ongoing legacy.”
During the ceremony, the Switzler Hall bell tolled after each name was read. All campus flags were flown at half-staff for the day, and the Jesse Hall dome was darkened through the night.
