Mizzou photographer recognized with University Photographers' Association awards

Work includes images for campus viewbooks and MIZZOU Magazine.

University of Missouri photographer Abbie Lankitus was recently honored with two awards at the University Photographers' Association of America (UPAA) 2025 Symposium in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The UPAA symposium celebrates the best work in higher education photography over the past year.

Lankitus won second place for photography featured in viewbooks and mailed brochures published by Mizzou Admissions. She also received an honorable mention in the general publications category for images used in the Fall 2024, Winter 2025 and Spring 2025 issues of MIZZOU Magazine.

“I’m thankful for the designers at Mizzou and the team at MIZZOU Magazine for assigning and using my work across the university,” Lankitus said. “It’s an honor to receive this recognition on behalf of Mizzou.”
