The University of Missouri Board of Curators recently named nine University of Missouri faculty members Curators’ Distinguished Professors and one Curators' Distinguished Professor Emeritus. The professorship is the highest and most prestigious academic rank the Board of Curators awards. It is awarded to a select few outstanding scholars with established reputations. This year’s recipients are:
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Prasad Calyam, the Greg L. Gilliom Professor in the College of Engineering
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Baolin Deng, the William A. Davidson Professor in the College of Engineering
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Roman Ganta, the McKee Endowed Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine and a primary investigator at Bond Life Sciences Center
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Loukas Grafakos, the Mahala and Rose Houchins Distinguished Professor in the College of Arts and Science
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Mengshi Lin, a professor in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Shelly Rodgers, the Maxine Wilson Gregory Chair in Journalism Research and a professor in the Missouri School of Journalism
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Haval Shirwan, a professor in the University of Missouri School of Medicine and and principal investigator at NextGen Precision Health
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Bing Yang, a professor in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources and a primary investigator at Bond Life Sciences Center
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor: Xiaoqin Zou, a professor in the College of Arts and Science with a joint appointment in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources
Additionally, the board approved one emeritus designation:
- Curators’ Distinguished Professor Emeritus: Richard Meadows, an adjunct professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine
