Three University of Missouri students were recently selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, and two students are alternates if additional funding becomes available.
A prestigious program that provides scholarships for recent graduates, graduate students and young professionals to undertake research, study or teaching abroad, the Fulbright U.S. Student Program aims to promote cross-cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the United States and other countries.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent before the start of the grant. Applicants should also have proficiency in the language of the host country, where applicable. The application process is highly competitive and involves several stages, including submitting a project proposal, obtaining letters of recommendation and undergoing an interview.
