George Frees, a senior University of Missouri biochemistry and plant sciences major, recently earned the FFA American Star in Agriscience Award.
Frees’ involvement in FFA has allowed him to combine his passion for sugarcane cultivation and environmental stewardship. At MU, Frees is a campus beekeeper and conducts crop science research in four labs. Upon graduating this spring, Frees plans to pursue a career in ethnobotany.
