The Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball program will host its annual wheelchair basketball camp for youth with permanent disabilities. This year’s camp will be the largest yet with 50 registered participants from 18 states.

Mizzou Wheelchair Basketball Camp focuses on developing individual fundamental skills and strategies through team play. Players participate in skill developing drills, controlled scrimmages and games that emphasize the skills and concepts taught by the staff.

The camp is led by Ron Lykins, the University of Missouri head coach and former U.S. Men’s and Women's National Team coach. Under Lykins, the national team won four gold medals at the Paralympic Games and more than 10 international championships. Staff members include coaches and players who are experienced at the intercollegiate and international level. Lykins was inducted in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
