Each year, the Chancellor’s Committee on the Status of Women award a student, faculty and staff who go above and beyond to contribute to an environment of equity, fairness and justice for women on campus; who have demonstrated respect for the diversity of women's experiences; and have helped to promote the advancement of women through education and advocacy.
This year’s recipients are:
- Elizabeth Giuliano, a professor of ophthalmology in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
- Okunsogie Jessica Osaze, a graduate student working toward a Master of Health Administration, a Master of Science in Health Informatics, and a Ph.D. in Translational Biosciences.
- Katryna Sardis, coordinator of the RSVP Center.
“These women exemplify a drive to push against existing boundaries and make our world just a little bit better for others,” said Ginny Ramseyer Winter, an associate professor in the School of Social Work and co-chair for the committee. “Each and every one has gone above and beyond to ensure that women at the University of Missouri have every opportunity to succeed and thrive.”
