Li-Wu Chen, University of Missouri Health Sciences chair and professor, was recently selected to serve on the steering committee for the Health Inclusivity Index, a project of The Economist Group, which includes The Economist. The project aims to measure and benchmark the inclusivity of health systems in 40 countries.
Chen joins 10 other health sciences and policy experts representing the United Nations, World Health Organization, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, think tanks and universities including Harvard and University College London.
“The Health Inclusivity Index has great potential to influence meaningful conversations about health inclusivity and equity on international level,” Chen said. “I am excited to be involved in providing overall and strategic guidance for this project.”
