It’s almost time for kickoff

1. Athletics is enhancing the game day experience.

Fans spoke, we listened. Changes have been made to help streamline game day and improve the fan experience. These include better seats for the MU student section, scanning pedestals to expedite entry, new food and beverage options, a revamped pregame show and more. Additionally, we’re making game day more accessible for families by providing things like stroller parking at all entry gates and more nursing rooms.

2. College Colors Day and Black and Gold Fridays are back.

Friday, Sept. 2, is College Colors Day – a national holiday for fans to celebrate their university’s team spirit. Wear your black and gold gear to show your Mizzou pride … and keep the support going by helping us #StripeTheState every Friday during football season.

3. A new brand anthem is coming.

Look for MU's latest commercial, which makes its debut during the season opener. Filmed this summer on locations all over campus, the 30-second commercial celebrates all things Mizzou and will appear on the SEC Network, ESPN, CBS, Hulu, social media and other channels. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Mizzou commercial without hands-on Tiger involvement — the filming process included current students and faculty on both sides of the camera.

4. Enjoy discounts at The Mizzou Store.

Get 25% off official Mizzou clothing and fan gear for the entire family every Friday before home games at The Mizzou Store’s Black and Gold Friday sale. This season’s sales are: Sept. 16, Sept. 30, Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.

5. Students can take advantage of a new, free tailgate.

All University of Missouri students are invited to a free student tailgate on the grassy area east of Brooks Hall for 2022 home football game days. This university/Athletics-sponsored event will offer music and DJs, lawn games, face painting and more. Food and beverages may be purchased from university-approved local food trucks and providers.

The tailgate will open four hours prior to kickoff (three hours prior to 11 a.m. kickoffs) and will close 40 minutes prior to the game. Students are invited to march to the stadium as a group with 30 minutes left on the pregame clock.
