Bill Stackman, vice chancellor for student affairs, has been selected to serve on the James E. Scott Academy board for the National Association of Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA). He is the first University of Missouri representative to serve in this role. Stackman’s term will run from March 23, 2021, to April 4, 2023.
The James E. Scott Academy is led by a board of 20 vice presidents for student affairs. The board provides advice and thought leadership on critical issues in student affairs and higher education and advises the NASPA president and staff. It also plays a key role in identifying principles of effective student affairs practice for recognizing and responding to the trends and challenges present in the field and in higher education more broadly.
“I'm honored to have this opportunity to serve NASPA with my fellow board members, and I'm thrilled to have the chance to bring more knowledge back to Mizzou.”
