Mian Liu

Mian Liu, Curators’ Distinguished Professor and chair of the University of Missouri Department of Geological Sciences, was recently named secretary general to the International Lithosphere Program (ILP). Liu will serve on a four-year mandate through 2024.
The ILP seeks to make clear the nature, dynamics, origin and evolution of the lithosphere through international, multidisciplinary geoscience research projects and coordinating committees.
