Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadet Kylie Schatmeyer was recently awarded the George C. Marshall Leadership Award. Schatmeyer is one of only 275 ROTC cadets from across the nation to be selected for the distinguished award based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, physical fitness, and community involvement.
The award, named after American statesman Gen. George Marshall, is given to honor men and women who continue in his service legacy. Schatmeyer, a senior communications major at the University of Missouri, will be a second lieutenant upon graduation in May.
