Melissa Horner, a PhD student in the Department of Sociology, was recently named a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Scholar. Horner and her fellow scholars will work toward creating equitable solutions for complex health challenges in their communities.
Horner plans to study Indigenous health and is the only scholar in this year’s cohort from Missouri.
