Kevin Gillis named chair of Biomedical, Biological and Chemical Engineering

Professor Kevin Gillis was recently named department chair for Biomedical, Biological and Chemical Engineering at the College of Engineering. His role as department chair began Oct. 1. Gillis previously served as the department’s interim chair.
Gillis earned a bachelor of arts degree from St. Louis University and received bachelor of science, master of science and doctor of science degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. He has a joint appointment in the Department of Medical Pharmacology and Physiology at the MU School of Medicine. He also is an investigator at the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center and is the director of the campus Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program.
