It’s almost finals week, Tigers! You’ve put in the work, now it’s time to finish strong.

Not sure how to power through these last few weeks? We’ve got you covered. Read on for five tips to conquer finals prep and own the end of your semester.

  1. Find a study spot that works for you

Ellis Library is a classic go-to for focused study, but it’s not the only great option on campus. Mizzou is home to numerous libraries, each with unique vibes and study spaces. Explore  university libraries and book a study room.

  1. Take a (guided) breath

Taking a mindful pause can help you stay energized and focused. Student Health & Well-being offers 30-minute sessions led by certified instructors in the Wellness Resource Center. No experience needed.

    1. Know when to ask for help

End-of-semester success thrives on teamwork. The Student Success Center offers free resources for all students, including subject-specific tutoring from The Learning Center, expert feedback at the Writing Center and advice from the Career Center.

    1. Feed your brain some food for thought

Marathon study sessions can leave you hungry. The Division of Student Affairs has what you need to keep your mind functioning with Stop Day Brunch. Head over to the Student Center between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 12 for a delicious opportunity to refuel. Bonus opportunities: Stop Day Brunch is part of Tigers Tackle Finals, and if you’re looking for additional snack options, visit the Student Center for Brain Breaks on Dec. 9 and 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. All of Tigers Tackle Finals programming can be found on MU Engage.

    1. Live a little

Constant go-go-go is a big no-no-no. If you’re the type to benefit from a little bit of dedicated distraction time, consider a show. Whether it’s a Wicked: For Good sing-alongmidday music while strolling the galleries at the Museum of Art and Archaeology or the Missouri Symphony’s Home for the Holidays show at the Missouri Theatre, a quick dose of entertainment might be just the thing you need to recharge and dive back into your studies ready to finish strong.
