Nearly 1,700 Tigers earning 1,832 total degrees will celebrate their hard-earned achievements this month as they cross the stage, step into their next chapter and join the University of Missouri’s esteemed alumni network.
Commencement ceremonies begin Friday and continue through Sunday.
Of those degrees, 1,339 will be bachelor’s degrees, 380 will be master’s degrees and 99 will be doctoral degrees. Some students are receiving more than one degree.
“Mizzou prepares leaders who are ready to achieve career success, listen to other perspectives and make an impact in our state and around the world,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said. "I am so proud of our incredible Class of 2025 graduates. I also want to recognize the new military officers commissioned through Mizzou Army, Air Force and Naval ROTC programs. We are grateful for their service to our nation.”
December commencement will also recognize more than 480 students receiving the Honors Certificate and more than 420 who completed courses through Mizzou Online.
“Graduating from the University of Missouri is a tremendous accomplishment, and we’re extremely proud of our Tigers’ hard work and impressive dedication,” Todd Graves, chair of the University of Missouri Board of Curators, said. “They’ve received a world-class education and now continue forward as our next generation of leaders.”
“The academic and scholastic success achieved by the Class of 2025 has been inspiring to peers, faculty and mentors during their time on campus,” Matthew Martens, provost and executive vice chancellor of academic affairs, said. “We can’t wait to see this enthusiasm and excellence impact the state of Missouri and beyond.”
