Celebrate gratitude, great food and Mizzou pride alongside fellow Tigers at the University of Missouri’s traditional Thanksgiving feast. This year, you can also sign up for a boxed meal to enjoy on the holiday itself.

Campus Dining Services will host its annual Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at three locations: Plaza 900, The MARK on 5th St. and the Restaurants at Southwest. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to join — meal plans are accepted, or guests may pay at the door.

While attendees can expect smoked turkey, ham and all the fixings, as well as made-from-scratch dessert, the event also gives Tigers an opportunity to celebrate the holiday together, Johnna Martin, executive chef, said.

“This annual meal is important because it brings the Mizzou community together,” she said. “These are people you see on day-to-day basis. They’re family, too, and it’s nice to be able to spend time with them outside of work during the holidays.”

Fall break begins Saturday, Nov. 22. For those staying on campus over break, Campus Dining is offering to-go dinners that can be picked up at the Student Center on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Each boxed meal will include turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, cranberry sauce, a dinner roll and cherry crumble.

“Everything except the rolls will be made in-house from scratch,” Derrick Cripps, director of Mizzou Food Services, said. “We want students, as well as faculty and staff who may be working that day, to enjoy a home-style Thanksgiving meal, even if they’re far from home.”

Tigers can sign up for a boxed meal using this form. Dinner reservations should be made by noon on Friday, Nov. 21, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meals will be available for pickup at Baja Grill in the Mizzou Student Center between 10:30 and 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26.
