Shortly after the tower was completed at Memorial Union in 1926, seniors at the university initiated a commencement exercise placing a wreath on the archway’s floor in memory of the fallen Tigers. Each Veterans Day, the tradition continues.

This year’s guest speaker will be Col. Lindsey Decker from the Missouri Army National Guard. Decker currently commands the 35th Military Police Brigade based at Jefferson Barracks in St. Louis, Missouri, and serves full-time as the director of manpower and personnel for the Missouri National Guard.
