Tigers, get ready to ROAR.
As more than 500 student-athletes return to campus this fall to compete across 20 intercollegiate sports, the entire University of Missouri community — both near and far — is invited to proudly support the Tigers by sporting school colors for Black and Gold Fridays.
The annual “Stripe the State” series begins Friday, Aug. 30.
“Mizzou student-athletes are the pride of our state and embody the university’s relentless dedication to excellence,” said Mun Choi, president of the University of Missouri. “Wearing black and gold is a powerful way for Tiger fans to show their support and celebrate the incredible momentum of Mizzou Athletics as they compete for championships.”
Show off your Tiger tenacity on social media using #StripeTheState and #MIZ. Be sure to tag @MizzouAthletics.
“No matter if you’re a student, alum, faculty member or a die-hard fan, donning black and gold every Friday gives us a chance to unite with one roar,” Director of Athletics Laird Veatch said. “In unison, we send a bold message of pride, passion and spirit for our state, our university and our sports teams; let’s show the world what it means to be a part of the Mizzou family.”
