The University of Missouri is excited to announce a national search for a new athletics director. The university is searching for an AD with visionary leadership who can build on recent success and continue the progress of building Mizzou’s championship culture. Mizzou Athletics is coming off a banner year with a Cotton Bowl victory and strong momentum for future success in many sports.
“We’re seeking a leader who will support our coaches and student-athletes to achieve their championship goals,” University of Missouri President Mun Choi said. “Our fans and supporters in Missouri and beyond deserve the very best from Mizzou Athletics.”
“The heart and soul of athletics is the community of outstanding athletes, coaches and fans that all wear the Black and Gold,” said Bob Blitz, curator and chair of the search committee. “Mizzou is rapidly ascending to the top of the SEC, the dominant conference in college athletics. Our athletics director must go to work every day with a priority focused on excellence in fundraising, facilities and game-day experiences to support our community and the quest for championships.”
