Sept. 18, 2024
Contact: Brian Consiglio, consigliob@missouri.edu
WHAT:
To enhance student success and accommodate the growing enrollment of the University of Missouri College of Health Sciences (CHS) — home to Mizzou’s most popular major, health science — Mizzou officials are hosting a grand opening and ribbon cutting to celebrate the newly-renovated Clark Hall. Renovations include three new classrooms, study spaces and a new entrance facing Providence Road.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment in health care occupations to grow more rapidly than the average for all occupations through 2032. With career readiness and student success being strategic priorities for Mizzou, the College of Health Sciences is growing to train more Mizzou students for in-demand jobs including speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, medical imaging technologists, social workers and occupational therapists.
