Mizzou Athletics Director Desiree Reed-Francois has been named athletics director at University of Arizona. The University of Missouri thanks her for her service and wishes her great success in her new role.
University of Missouri President Mun Choi has named Senior Associate Athletics Director for Football Administration Marcy Girton as interim athletics director.
Girton brings more than 30 years of experience from all levels of college athletics as a student-athlete, coach and administrator, with half of those years in the Southeastern Conference. She has served as the chief operating officer of athletics at Auburn University and the University of South Carolina and as a football sport administrator at both Auburn and Texas A&M.
Mizzou Athletics has a loyal and strong fan base and great momentum moving forward. The search for a permanent athletics director will begin immediately.
