As part of ongoing efforts to extend the lifespan of parking structures on campus, the University of Missouri will continue the closure of the Conley Avenue Parking Structure (CAPS) for repairs and maintenance. The structure closed temporarily Aug. 17 following an inspection. The 37-year-old CAPS is the university’s oldest parking structure with approximately 700 spaces.

The $5.5 million project is expected to begin before the end of 2024 and to be completed by fall 2025. The project includes about $2.5 million in unrelated maintenance work that had already been planned for completion in 2025.

While CAPS is closed, the following accommodations for permit holders have been made:

  • Students, staff and faculty CAPS permit holders will retain their temporary relocation to other parking structures on campus (Turner Avenue Parking Structure or Hitt Street Parking Structure) for the duration of the project.

With the temporary loss of CAPS' approximately 700 spaces, all faculty, staff, students and visitors are encouraged to allow extra time to find parking spots if they are using the Turner Avenue Parking Structure or Hitt Street Parking Structure.
