MEDIA ADVISORY: MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment hosts grand opening for new therapy clinic

WHAT:

The University of Missouri Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the grand opening of a new therapy clinic.

The newly renovated space has 13,000 square feet of classrooms for applied behavior analysis, speech/language and occupational therapy rooms, observation suites, toilet training facilities, a life skills room, space for trainees, and staff offices.

Mun Choi, president of the University of Missouri

Stephen Sheinkopf, executive director of the MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment

Richard J. Barohn, executive vice chancellor for Health Affairs and dean of the MU School of Medicine

Ron Ashworth, chairman of the Thompson Foundation Board

Ana Compain-Romero, parent of adolescent with autism
