As people prepare to vote in the 2024 primaries and presidential election, experts at the University of Missouri are available to discuss a range of political topics, including voting rights, voter turnout, politics and civility, political communication and international relations.

- Areas of expertise: Political participation (voter turnout); politics of U.S. public policy (COVID-19 pandemic, Medicaid expansion, opioid epidemic, public health, social policy and social welfare).
Lynn Itagaki
- Title: Associate professor, Departments of English and Women’s and Gender Studies, MU College of Arts and Science
- Areas of expertise: Politics and civility; hate crimes, particularly those involving Asian Americans; Asian Americans running for elected office; Asian American voters.
Kathy Kiely
- Title: Lee Hills Chair in Free Press Studies, Missouri School of Journalism
- Areas of expertise: Free press and the media’s role in politics; she also served as a reporter or editor during nine presidential campaigns.
