MEDIA ADVISORY: MU student teams to pitch business startups for $30,000 in cash prizes

WHAT:

MU student teams participating in this year’s Entrepreneur Quest (EQ) competition could soon be one step closer to bringing their business startup dreams to reality. Much like on the television series Shark Tank, 10 student teams will have up to seven minutes to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. There also will be a five-minute Q & A with the judges.

Three teams will be selected as winners and split $30,000 in cash prizes provided by donations from Veterans United Home Loans and U.S. Bank.

  • Kathleen Bruegenhemke, chief operations and risk officer, Hawthorn Bank
  • Brant Bukowsky, co-founder, Veterans United Home Loans
  • Robert Griggs, president, Trinity Products
  • Arpita Kumar, global vice-president – post merger integration and divestiture, special projects, SAP
  • William “Bill” Little, president, Quam-Nichols Company
  • Mindy McCubbin, owner, Truman Wealth Advisors

NOTE:
