WHAT
In an effort to make the University of Missouri community more aware of safety tools available to students, faculty and staff, MU is hosting Safe Mizzou 2021, a week of special events. Some of the events that will take place during Safe Mizzou 2021 include:
- Personal Safety Fair — learn how to check on a friend in need, practice online safety and fill an emergency “go bag” with free giveaways. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21, Kuhlman Court (Rain site: first floor of the MU Student Center).
- Annual Fire Factor and Room Burn
Pedestrian and Vehicle Education (PAVE) — an opportunity to attend fire safety events such as fire extinguisher training and an obstacle course. At 11:50 a.m., Columbia firefighters will conduct a simulated room burn to demonstrate the speed and ferocity of fire. 11:50 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, Ninth Street/Lowry Mall and Speaker’s Circle.
