WHAT:

More than 120 University of Missouri students will be serving local communities and organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, City of Refuge and Ronald McDonald House, as part of a Mizzou Alternative Break (MAB) Spring Weekend Service Experience.

Nineteen student-led groups will be volunteering throughout Columbia and in surrounding communities completing projects such as removing invasive species, painting and preparing food for charities. Students have been meeting virtually in preparation for the event and will be adhering to COVID-19 precautions during their days of service.

WHO:             19 student-led service groups of MU students.                                           

WHEN:           Friday, March 12 - Sunday, March 14

WHERE:        Organizations in Columbia and within 25 miles of Columbia. Service sites include:

      • Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture
      • The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri
      • Services for Independent Living
      • The Central Missouri Humane Society
      • Cedar Creek Therapeutic Riding Center
      • Ronald McDonald House
