So, just before I was diagnosed with cancer my faith had kind of hit rock bottom in a way. I didn’t completely lose faith in God but I was really struggling with my religion and my faith. And I think my diagnosis brought me closer to God. I never asked why did this happen to me or anything like that because I knew it was a test from God and in my faith I believe that God only tests the people that he loves the most. So, it was a way to bring me closer to God since I had hit rock bottom essentially and I know that in this life there is no guarantee that we aren’t going to be tested; that I am just going to go around and have the best life ever. I’ve never had the idea that bad things don’t happen to good people. So, I was never wondering why it happened to me? Sometimes, it was really hard because I felt like I was at rock bottom with my faith. It took a while to get back up there and sometimes I had a lot of difficulty because I wanted to feel close to God but I didn’t. But in the end I have gotten a lot closer to God through this whole process so, I’m thankful for that.
